A Story of High Quality and Great Love for the Confectionery Tradition

In the 1950s, in the heart of Salento, Rocco Martinucci, an itinerant ice cream maker and descendant of a family of artisans, met Annunziata Panese, a lover of the art of baking passed down through generations of bakers. By combining their lives and their love for ancient confectionery traditions, Martinucci Laboratory was born.

As industrial growth opened up new opportunities, Martinucci Laboratory has steadfastly held fast to itsartisan essence andlove of tradition. With the arrival of the new millennium, Giorgio Martinucci, Rocco’s son and guardian of the family passion, introduced modern Martinucci Laboratory throughout Salento and beyond.

From Torre San Giovanni to Tricase, to Bari, Rome and Milan, passing through Presicce-Acquarica (the beating heart of Martinucci production) and Polignano a Mare, each store encapsulates the art of Salento confectionery. The “Martinucci green,” a symbol of freshness and tradition, characterizes each environment where each creation celebrates the authentic taste of Apulian products.

Since 2002, Martinucci Laboratory has experienced extraordinary expansion, transforming each store into an authentic point of reference for all those who love quality and craftsmanship. We have taken our confectionery tradition beyond the borders of Salento, making pasticciotto leccese known throughout Italy. New laboratories have flourished in different locations, whose beating heart remains Presicce-Acquarica, until 2023 with the opening of our first Laboratory in northern Italy, bringing with us the essence and authentic flavors of Puglia.
